99 Followers Give-Away :-) UK only
I was going to do a giveaway at 100, but I got there and one person disappeared haha, so I thought why not celebrate 99 followers instead, 99 is just as good :-)I would have loved to have done this for international followers as well but sending polish through the post is a no-no at the moment. I may do a give-away with just nail art/glitters stuff like that in future Thanks everyone for supporting the blog and good luck :-)
a Rafflecopter giveaway

Illamasqua Pink Raindrops - Limited Edition
Illamasqua Pink Raindrops - Limited Edition
When Illamasqua's Facebook page received 100,000 likes they celebrated by releasing a Pink version of their cult polish "Raindrops". I love the original but don't think it suits my skin tone so It barely gets used, I was hoping the pink version would look better. I bought it here as soon as it was available and it turned up this morning, pretty fast postage. I only got a quick look at it as I was running out the door and thought it didn't look very pink, more along the lines of a pink toned neutral or nude.
I did a quick swatch (over my acrylics) when I got home. It has the same clear shimmery flakes that the grey version has and is less sheer but I think I was hoping for something pinker. It does suit my skin colouring better though so maybe it'll grow on me. I think I'd like it more on my nails if they were shorter.
Here is my blog post about "Raindrops"

Summer Fun Challenge - Day 1
I'm 2 days late with this but as my college tutors always said to me - better late than never :)
This is another challenge set by Lindsey from Neverland Nail Blog. I really enjoyed doing the girly-girl one so I wanted to give this a try.
So today as I'm catching up I will be doing 2 mani's but I'll do 2 separate posts.
The first challenge is Grill Master. I was going to do flames with a black background but then I decided I wanted to do something a little less literal.
I used a base of Illamasqua Raindrops to represent smoke and rain, as to be honest whenever we plan a BBQ it ends up raining, lol. And then did "flaming" dots on top. I used yellow, starfish and red Bettina's and a hair pin as a dotting tool. I really am happy with how this turned out.
Here's a close up of raindrops, its such a pretty polish.
And in the bottle.
Next up is Summer lovin'...I love Grease :)

Illamasqua Jo'Mina
This colour is beautiful! Its also almost impossible for me to photograph and get the colour to look like it does on the nail.
It went on really smoothly and evenly, I used 2 coats and no topcoat as it has a really nice shine by itself. Its less dusty and more bright than it appears in my pictures. I added a bit of bling to it.
These pictures are from an old camera so I might be able to get a closer colour match with my new camera which I'll try and do at some point.

Girly-Girl Challenge Day 1 - Think Pink :)
This is the first mani for my first challenge (see previous post for details)
The idea for today is Think Pink - wear your favourite pink polish and nail art. I only own 2 pink polishes so that was an easy choice, I had to go with Illamasqua Obsess. Its a gorgeous shade of pink all on its own but I decided to glitz it up a little and added Nostalgic Nail Lacquer Magic Dance on top (I think she is restocking today, weird coincidence)
But I liked it so much I decided to do them all :)

I then used Barry M Lilac Foil to stamp my ring finger

First Blog Post...Eek
Well this is my first blog and first blog post, I'm not really sure where to begin so I'll just jump straight in there;
This is 2 of my favourite Illamasqua nail varnishes, the one that appears purple is actually a really pretty pink called Obsess, I'm not sure why I cant get this to be true to colour, camera issues maybe but it is more fuchsia in real life with a purple undertone, and the green is Radium which has a glowing yellow shimmer to it.
I added a little pink skull to my ring finger to help tie in the two. One final thing to mention about Illamasqua varnish, I have 5 or 6 of them and they are great, colour wise, formula wise, almost one coaters and they last for ages so if you have the chance to buy some go for it :)
And... that's my first post, I'm going to go "franken" my first polish to celebrate, I have an OPI called I Juggle Men that I think will be a great base.
