Quick Post: More Moyou Mani's and Neon Shellac

This is just a little post, mainly some images, showing what I've been up to since I last blogged. I'm back at college now so hopefully I'll have more advanced nail art coming up over the next year.

I stamped over Enchanted Polish - Time To Pretend with Barry M Lilac Foil using MoYou Londons Princess Collection 02 plate.

The image above I did not long after I got the Suki Collection 01 plate from MoYou London, I used CND Vinylux in Bicycle Yellow, Electric Orange and Decadence to do the gradient and topped with Pure Ice - Heartbreaker to smooth it out. I added a few dots of colour here and there so the stamping wasn't just solid black, this was inspired by Diana from http://dutch-diana.blogspot.co.uk/

This was created with lots of stamping, dotting, freehand and handmade decals. I used MoYou London plates; Rebel Collection 03 and Back to the 90's 01. The red I used was A-England - Perceval, the green was an unnamed one.

The heart tips and cutouts were just a play around for me, practicing gradients and also doing the cutout technique for the first time, I actually found it to be really awkward, my brush didn't want to remove the polish cleanly. I think I need a more sturdy brush for this in future. This was done with the same vinylux colours as the second image.

Last but not least, a lovely nail tech from Belgium sent me some neon pigments to try out. I've got a set of 6 I purchased from ebay which look great in the tub and mix nicely with gel and acrylic but look pastel when burnished into shellac. These stay super bright and glow amazingly under UV lights. This is the green and pink over Cream Puff Shellac.

Summer Fun Challenge Day 7

Let me first of all apologise for the bad pictures, I can't find my camera :-O so I had to use my phone.
Today's challenge is the second to last one, "Summer Stylin'" Were we are supposed to create a mani based on our favourite piece of summer fashion. So I went with something Black Milk inspired. Black Milk is my new obsession. I did this design to go with their Owl Swimsuit, scroll down the page for a picture.

I used my faithful A-England Camelot for the black base and used Bundle Monster Stamp no. 309 for the owl designs. I then, not so carefully dotted some Color Club Antique on the owls body and mixed Antique with Bettina Starfish for the eyes and detail on the flowers to help coordinate the colours with the swim suit.

Edit: Here's a pic from the camera, I added some metallic orange stripes

Summer Fun Challenge - Day 5

Here is my mani for the 5th day of the Summer Fun Challenge. I know I'm a day early but I'll be out and about tomorrow so wont have a chance to put this up.
The theme was "most creative road trip or vacation mani". As I've only been away once since I started doing my nails obsessively, lol, this was simple for me. I don't know why I didn't photograph this the first time round but hey ho.

I used Dior Waterlily as a base. I love this polish, it has a great brush and applies easily, dries fast and smells lovely :-) I then added Girly Bits Cosmic Ocean to enhance the sparkle. I used A-England Dragon and A-England Saint George for the dots.

Black and white

I decided I wanted to do a bit of nail art yesterday but was in a bit of a hurry so had to go with some thing simple. I decided to use the technique I tried in the girly-girl challenge in march. I went with a black and white colour scheme.

This is really easy to do, you just paint half your nail with one colour, using a lot of polish and then paint the other half with the other colour, again using a lot of polish. Then use a pin or small dotting tool to mix the two shades together. I used A-England Camelot and Bettina Marshmallow, both really nice opaque polishes.

MariMoon Chameleon

I decided today to do some stamping today because I haven't done it a while. I wanted to use one of my marimoon polishes as they have so many different colours/shades. I picked out Chameleon as I wanted to try out a sort of mermaid tail/dragon scale mani.

I used A-Englands Saint George for the stamping. I put some flakies on under the stamp to add more depth on my little finger, I wish I'd done it on all of them but I couldn't see much difference under the lamp in my room :)

Girly-Girl Challenge Day 2 - Gimme That Bling

This is the 2nd mani of the Girly-Girl Challenge, todays is "diamonds are a girls best friend, so put some sparkles on those nails!". I tried out a white nail with silver glitter and diamantés across the tip but I wasn't loving it and I think my nails would need to be longer to do it justice.

And my Dior Waterlily turned up this morning so I was dying to try it out :) I teamed it up with the shiny A-England Saint George and used a needle to swirl the colours together on my nails. I added Nostalgic's Underground and some little crystals on my ring finger.

Playing with St George

This is a really quick post, mainly pictures really. I was bored today and got out my lovely A-England to do some stamping with. I used St George which happens to be the gem of the month on Adina's website and Princess Tears. I then added some flakies over the top, Nfu Oh 39 on St George and Nubar 2010 on Princess Tears

Which looked very pretty but I decided to add a matte topcoat to make it a little different. Which looked amazing on the Princess Tears I think.

And then I stamped (using St George) a little design to finish the mani off :)

So that was fun :)

Just a quick one :)

We actually have some sun this morning so I took a quick picture of St George, excuse the tip wear, i did a lot of cleaning yesterday and this morning, so its impressive there's no chips to be honest.

You can pick these up from http://www.a-england.co.uk/ along with the mythicals. If they aren't on the site yet you can email Adina at hello@a-england.co.uk.
