I may do a give-away with just nail art/glitters stuff like that in future Thanks everyone for supporting the blog and good luck :-)

Green Layering Experiment
So the idea was simple, I wanted a mani to match my hair, which was green...sort of :) my hair never goes one shade when I dye it, its now a greeny blue. I went with Bettina Mojito as a base, I love this green, it takes 2 coats for decent coverage but its easy to work with. I then popped on a layer of Max Factor max effects Graffiti to give it a slightly blue tone. I couldn't resist putting on some flakies to liven it up a little, I used Nfu Oh 39, its not a subtle flakie its pretty densely packed but goes on smoothly. And then to top it off I used my newly acquired Nostalgic Underground..
It was so shiny and complex looking, I was happy but I think it was a little too shiny for me so I got out my trusty matte top coat and I loved it even more.
Here it is in the sun:
And in the shade:
And more importantly it matches my hair :) I added some scales to my ring finger.

Lynnderella Layering Experiment
I'm sure most of you will have heard of Lynnderella, if you havent, where have you been?!? :)
She makes the most beautiful glittery nail polishes ever, they happen to be difficult to get hold of because she makes them herself but they are worth being patient for. Her blog is here so you can check if she is open for business or purchase them from Llarowe when they are available.
Here it is in the bottle:
Now on top of this I put the Lynnderella Love Potion no 99, I only used a small amount partly because its like gold dust lol and partly because I wanted the fantasy fire to still be visible.
Without flash it is the most beautiful dark blue/purple with different shades of chunky purple glitter and a little rainbow glitter too:
So I'm just going to sit and look at my nails for the rest of the day now :)

I decided I wanted to layer it over something a little different and I tried so many different combinations, there were a couple I really liked, it looks very pretty over gold, but only one that I loved. I used Essie Smooth Sailing as a base. Its the only Essie polish I own and I think its great, such a beautiful colour and nice application. On top of smooth sailing I put Max Factors Max Effects Fantasy Fire (it is out of stock at the moment but you can sign up for availability updates) which is pretty similar to clarins 230, it shimmers from red to bronze, blue to green and has a purple base.
Here is a picture taken with flash so the blue really shines from under the fantasy fire:
And a second pic which shows the colour in normal light:

With the flash the blue really pops and you can see the colour shift from the fantasy fire along with all the glittery loveliness of the love potion:

Max Factor Fantasy Fire - Clarins Dupe?
Hello :D What a great nail haul day I've had. I planned just to pop in to Illamasqua to see if they had any raindrops left (for swaps) but ended up in a few other places. I actually bought the last of the raindrops they had, the nice lady had to dig it out from a box in the back which was great of her. I'll get round to swatching it soon. I then went to TK Maxx and found both sets of color clubs boho fall collection for £7.99, I think they'll make great bases for layering and stamping. And lastly I went to superdrug to look for Nail Pop, they have a flakey topcoat I want to play with, but no luck finding it so I had a look round at Gosh, nothing new there. As I was about to leave I noticed some cute mini bottles on the Max Factor stand, I don't think I own any of there polishes. I'm so glad I took a closer peek...(sorry that was a bit wordy)
Its not a dead on dupe by any means, its more purple in real life and from what I remember clarins had more of a red base, over a dark colour I don't think it'd look that different, considering this is only £3.99 :)
Now I owned Clarins 230 for a whole week a year or so ago, I didn't get what was so special about it so I re sold it, I think I just wasnt ready for it and I've been looking at evil ebay to re purchase it but I dont think I will now, this seems just as pretty. I cant wait to layer it over some other colours, any suggestions?
